Warren Abell, DO, Surgeon
Warren Abell, DO, is board-certified with the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. With some 20 years experience, he joined Osceola Medical Center in February 2009 as a surgeon. Dr. Abell is a graduate of the University of Health Services, College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kansas City, MO. He completed his internship at Normandy Osteopathic Hospitals, St. Louis, MO, and his residency at Mount Clemens General Hospital, Mount Clemens, MI. Abell is a member of the Minnesota Medical Association, Minnesota Surgical Society and American Osteopathic Association.




Nicole Johnson, PA-C, Family Medicine
Nicole Johnson, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant. She received her bachelor's degree from the College of St. Benedict, St. Joseph, MN, where she studied pre-physician assistant medicine and music. Her master's degree in physician assistant studies is from King's College, Wilkes-Barre, PA. She is board certified as a PA by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and is certified in comprehensive advanced life support.

Her interests include women's health, children's health and preventive medicine. Her hobbies include music, tennis, downhill skiing and traveling.




David Lang, MD, Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine
David Lang, MD, is a board-certified Family Practice Physician. He joined Osceola Medical Center in December 2010 as an Emergency Department physician. Lang earned his family medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. His residency was at Hennepin County Medical Center, a Level 1 Trauma Center in Minneapolis, MN. Lang brings to OMC a special interest in sports medicine, having practiced in such settings as the Boston Marathon, USA Cup Soccer, the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Lang had a fellowship in sports medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center, and holds a certification in sports medicine.




Darlene Lauridsen, FNP-BC, Family Medicine

Darlene Lauridsen, FNP-BC, is a certified family nurse practitioner. She earned her bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks and her master of science degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin in Eau Claire. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and also holds certification in Advanced Life Support. Her experience includes family practice and cardiology.


Her interests include family medicine, cardiology, well women care, children's health and preventive medicine. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, scrapbooking, friends, reading and quilting.

Greg Mattson, MD, Family Medicine
Greg Mattson, MD, has been with Osceola Medical Center since 1993. Dr. Mattson received his bachelor's degree in biology from North Park College in Chicago, IL. He attended medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, receiving his degree in 1987. He completed his family practice residency at the West Suburban Hospital Medical Center in Oak Park, IL. His professional memberships include the American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Practice and McHenry County Medical Society. In 1990, Dr. Mattson was voted "Outstanding Family Practice Resident" by the West Suburban Hospital Medical Center.

He and his wife, Cory, live in Osceola with their children. When he's not at Osceola Medical Center, he enjoys fishing, fishing and more fishing. He also volunteers for the Osceola School District as the Football Team Physician.




Edward Mauch, DO, Family Medicine
Edward Mauch, DO, is board-certified with the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Mauch earned his medical degree from Des Moines University, Des Moines, IA. He completed his residency with the University of Minnesota, Duluth Family Medicine Residency Program, Duluth, MN.

 

 

 

 




Bridget McGill, DO, Emergency Medicine
Bridget McGill, DO, joined the medical staff at Osceola Medical Center 10 2011 as an Emergency Department and Urgent Care physician. McGill is a graduate of the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Chicago. She completed her residency in emergency medicine at the University of Chicago and is board certified with the American Board of Emergency Medicine. McGill shares her time between the Emergency Department and Urgent Care.





René Milner, MD, Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine
René Milner, MD, is a board-certified Family Practice Physician. He joined Osceola Medical Center in 2006 as an Emergency Department physician. Milner earned his medical degree from the University of Manitoba, Manitoba, Canada, and his family practice degree from Kildonan Medical Center in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He completed his residency in obstetrics at the Women's Center, Health Sciences Center, Winnipeg. He and his wife have eight children and reside in St. Croix Falls, WI. His hobbies include hockey.




Kevin Nepsund, MD, Family Medicine
Kevin Nepsund, MD, is a board-certified Family Practice Physician. He first came to Osceola Medical Center in 2000. After a three-year break, he returned to OMC in 2011 to become part of our Scandia Clinic. He pursued his pre-medicine studies at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, and completed his residency in family practice at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. He and his family live in Woodbury, MN.





Rebecca Ness, PA-C, Family Medicine

Rebecca Ness, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant. She earned her nursing degree from the University of Minnesota in Moorhead and her physician assistant degree from the University of North Dakota, School of Medicine in Grand Forks, ND. She is board certified as a PA by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.


Her interests include children’s health, women's health, chronic disease management and preventive medicine. Her hobbies include travelling, gardening and decorating. She lives with her family in Osceola.

Arnold Potek, MD, Family Practice
Arnold Potek, MD, a General Practitioner, has practiced
medicine at Osceola Medical Center since 1975. His medical degree is from the University of Minnesota. His past practice experience includes a year working in hospitals in Israel and three years as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Medical Corp based in San Diego.

He and his wife, Nancy, live in Osceola. They have three
grown children. Dr. Potek's hobbies include bee keeping and maple sugaring.





Michelle Rice, CNM, Midwife

Michelle Rice, CNM, is a board-certified midwife. A former manager of our Birth Center, Rice had been a labor and delivery nurse at OMC for 10 years. She received her Master’s of Science in Nursing degree from the Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, KY, and earned her midwifery certificate from the American Midwifery Certification Board.


Her hobbies include walking, gardening and traveling. Rice lives with her family in Dresser, WI

Erik Severson, MD, Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine
Erik Severson, MD, is a board-certified Family Practice Physician. He joined Osceola Medical Center in 2005 as an Emergency Department physician. Severson is a graduate of Mayo Medical School in Rochester, MN. He completed his residency in family practice at the University of Minnesota.









Kari Smith, MD, Family Medicine
Kari Smith, MD, is a board-certified Family Practice Physician who joined Osceola Medical Center in 2002. She received her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1999, and served her residency at the Duluth Family Practice Residency Program.

Her hobbies include hiking, canoeing, ballroom dancing, downhill skiing, travel and remodeling her home. Dr. Smith and her family live in Osceola.





Amanda Tembreull, MD, Family Medicine, Chief Medical Officer
Amanda Tembreull, MD, is a board-certified Family Practice Physician since 2008. She joined Osceola Medical Center in August 2008. She earned her family medicine degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. She completed her residency at St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN.

Along with family practice and preventive care, Dr. Tembreull also has interests in women's health, obstetrics and pediatric medicine. She lives in the area with her husband and daughter.
